Aww… am I another year older.… again?! Time went by so fast, and getting faster year by year, but I know time is always moving with same speed except my action and brain movement that have been getting slower with increasing age! I was disappointed myself sometimes… but these days, I can see and be touched with plant, birds and flowers are brooming on the road side as my walking and thinking pace are getting slow. What a wonderful life is starting! I realize getting old is final gift from God and want to be enjoying as much as possible. Never try to remember how old am I now though!

 え～っ！また一つ歳を重ねてしまったのか？！時の経つのが年とともに加速されていると感じているが時のスピードは変わっているわけではなく、私の行動や脳の動きが減速しているに過ぎない。時々情けなくなってしまうことがあったが、動きが遅くなるにつれ、植木や鳥、道端に咲いている雑草まがいの花にも感動できるようになり、気が付くと心が和むようになった。なんと素敵な人生のスタートなんだろう。これは神様からの最後のご褒美だと思って、心から楽しみたい。極力自分の歳を思い出さないようには心がけるつもりではあるのだが…！

Since 2 weeks ago, reached Japan, no time to travel, no visiting friends and my students, only taking care of my mother, cooking, cleaning, washing and taking her hospital. She has been forgotten what she said just 5 minutes ago or what she did do but still remember how to cook and sewing clothe for me, this is happiest moment　more than anything. Thanks Mom for giving me chance to say in this year again ‘ おかあさん、ありがとう‘( Thanks mother). Mother’s day is only one day in a year, but I always want to say this simple but truly word. Be happy, health and to be my greatest mother as always.

帰国してから2週間、今回はどこにも旅せず、友達や生徒にあうこともなく、ひたすら母孝行。掃除洗濯、買い物、料理、母を病院に連れて行ったりして、あっというまんい時間はすぎる。５分前にはなしたことややった事は忘れてしまうことがあるが、昔かた得意だった料理や縫物を思い出したようにしてくれる。今母と一緒にいて何かできることがなにより幸せに感じる。今年も母に感謝の気持ちをつたえさせてくれるチャンスをもらって本当に嬉しい。少しでも長く幸せに、健康でいてください。そして今までのように私の素敵なお母さんでいてください。Happy Mother's Day!!

恒例New JET の集中講義が行われた。最終日は日本人をゲストに迎え、JET メンバーによる模擬授業。みな堂堂としていて日本での英語ＡＬＴの準備はできたみたい。わずか10時間のコースだったが、このわずかな学習が日本で役に立つことをいのっている。がんばれ～。

My mother mails me same things often since few years ago ‘Come back anytime if you have hard time, your home is here. Don’t forget that’ She might have forgotten what she wrote but encourage me always more than anything. Tell me endlessly.

There was Japanese Language Evening at Japanese Ambassador’s residence today. Japanese Students from UWI, UTECH, LTC and TLC were presenting speech, introducing Japanese game, challenging various quizzes and enjoying ‘ Takoyaki’.  Thanks to your smile, my neck pain has gone while. Glad to have been teaching!

日本大使公邸にて第二回日本語の夕べが行われた。1月末から頸椎症にかかり、一時はあきらめかけたこのイベントだが、なんとか参加できた。UWI, UTECH, LTC, 私のプライベートクラスから生徒が訳３０名ほど参加し、スピーチやミニプレゼン、クイズに挑戦、たこ焼きを楽しんだ。震えやしびれはひどいままだが、彼らの笑顔にしばし痛みが消えた！教えていてよかった！！

旧年中はお世話になりました。今年も宜しくお願いします。

There was English mock teaching by JET and Interac 2017 on final day of intensive course. They are already great teachers, Go JET and Interac Go!!

New journey for 18 JET members are about to begin. My mother is getting old, forget what she said just while ago, where she did do or who she met yesterday. But she still remember I’m her daughter and day I was born. 母は年をとって物忘れがひどくなってきた。ちょっと前に行ったことや何をしたか、昨日誰に会ったか思い出せないことが多い。でも私が娘であること、私が生まれた日のことは覚えていてくれる。それが私にとって一番大事なこと。今年も’お母さんありがとう’と言える日を迎えられて幸せである。来年も、再来年もずっと言える日が続きますように。

IPP bazzar on Saturday,(Nov 7) We sold hand made round fan with Japanese name by calligraphy.

2日前IPP バザーがあった。手作りうちわを販売。裏には買ってくれた人の名前を習字で書いて渡した。なかなか好評だった。久々のブログ、さぼりまくっている！

One of Japanese class had small peer observation at Language Cradle on Feb 28,. Students were enjoying conversation with ‘ Ayumi san’ who visited from Okinawa in Japan.

日本語クラスの一つに、沖縄からのお客様が来てくれた。私以外の日本人と話す機会ができて生徒たちは大喜び。がんばって日本語で質問していました。ありがとう、あゆみさん！

All Japanese class will start from tomorrow at Language Training Centre,Language Cradle and UTECH(Already have been started since last week) Hope they never be rusty... I'm rusty !! Long winter holiday is done but still I'm in holiday mode!

明日からすべての日本語クラスが、ＬＴＣ、ＴＬＣで始まる。（すでに大学のクラスは始まっている）。みんな日本語が錆びついていなければ

いいのだが…という私もまだ休みモードからぬけられなくて、

@The Emperor’s Birthday reception

久々に友達とリンク、アップデートもめちゃくちゃ久しぶり。忙しい４か月間、日本人社会から遠ざかっていたが、やっと冬休みに突入。ばんざ～い！！天皇誕生日＠大使公邸イン・ジャマイカ

There were joint brasband event at Ranny Willams Centre on July 22, by Japanese Navy Band of Japan Maritime Self- Defense Force and Jamaica Military Band from JDF. Performance includeding Taiko= Japanese drum and Japanese martial arts were more than wonderful, great and right for 50th anniversary of deplomatic relation Japan and Jamaica.

7月22日ラニーウィリアムスセンターにて、日本海上自衛隊のブラスバンドとジャマイカ国防軍のブラスバンドとのジョイントコンサートが行われた。海自による日本武道や和太鼓演奏もあり、日本とジャマイカ国交5５０周年記念にふさわしい素晴らしいイベントであった。海自のブラスバンドはただものじゃない～。全身鳥肌ものだった。ほかの連隊も礼儀正しく、清い若者！ついミーハーして、はしゃいでしまった。

Final day of JET intensive course was for mock teaching. Only few students attended final day but it was great. One of JET AA, Gregory showed them sample teaching and useful tip. I believe his wonderful advises will improve their life in Japan.

JET 集中講義の最終日。前日の壮行会で飲みすぎてつかれたのか、サッカーブラジル戦を見ているのか、この日はわずかな生徒しか集まらなかったが、みな素晴らしい模擬授業を見せてくれた。ＪＥＴＡＡの多才なグレゴリー先輩が最高の模範授業を見せてくれ、日本での生活へのチップをNew JETへプレゼント。このアドバイスはきっと彼等の生活に多いに役に立つことだろう。

今年度の新JETのオリエンテーションが行われた。日本との国交５０周年にふさわしく今までの最高２５名が旅立つ。両国の橋として活躍することを信じている。がんばれ～！

Thanks all my friends, students and family for warm birthday message. You made my day! I was stolen my bike year ago today, I wish I was stolen my age this year today!!!

友だちや生徒や家族からたくさんの温かい誕生メッセージをもらった。日本に行っている生徒からは日本語のメッセージもたくさん届いた。日本語がうまくなったねと褒めたら、変な日本語で返事が来た。直していいものか…う～ん、先生迷ってしまう。１年前の今日、バイクを盗まれて最悪の誕生日になってしまった。今年は年が盗まれるといいな～。

金があるときは時間がない、暇なときには金がない、両方ある時にはそれを使う気力がない、もし全部そろった時はいったい何を探し求めているやら…？！

When I have money no time to use money, when I have time  no money , when I have both no strength to use for it. Wondering if I would have all, what I’m looking for next.

To give flower and card to mother for mother’s day is my best wish more than anything Hope this day will be coming again and again.

母の日に花と手作りアニメカードをプレゼントするのが、今のわたしにとってなによりの望みである。来年も、再来年も、ずっとこの日が来ますように。

I tried to draw cat my mother liked for mother’s day. It’s not so easy… gave up and slept last night. Then many kitties and poppies swarmed in my dream. Curious dream made me warm and comfortable. My mother has been taking care of many cats and dogs since long time ago. They seem to appreciate what she had done for them and ask me to tell her ‘ ありがとう‘

母の日に母のお気に入りだった猫を登場させようといろいろ試行錯誤したが、今一つイメージがわかず寝てしまった。すると夢の中に子猫や子犬がうじゃうじゃ現れた。不思議な夢だったが、ほんわかしてしまった。母は昔から捨て犬や捨て猫の世話をみていた。きっと私に母へ’ありがとう’を伝えてもらいたかったのだろう。

I was so busy for event' Nihon Matsuri', test for 3 schools and chores in this few weeks. One of class gave me wonderful present. I don't know how thanks but want to say ' ありがとう’ This cute gift recovered my tiredness.

日本祭り、３校のテスト、雑用の山で忙しい数週間であった。あるクラスの生徒が素敵なプレゼントをくれた。忙しさにかまけて、手抜き授業した私は罪の意識を感じてしまったが、このあたたかいプレゼントは疲れをとってくれた。なんといってお礼を言っていいかわからないが、’ありがとう’心からそう言いたい。

3月8日に行う日本祭りのイベントの一つ浴衣ファッションショーにゲストとしてマーシャグリフィスが浴衣で登場する。今日は彼女の衣装合わせ。いくつになってもゴージャスな女性である。彼女のパフォーマンスが楽しみである。乞うご期待！

Practicing Japanese dance for Nihon Matsuri to be held on March 8, at Ranny Williams Centre. They memorized 3 dances instantly. I believe this is gift for them. They surprised me over again. Hope them not to surprise me as forget soon.

3月8日にラニーウィリアムスで行われる日本祭りのダンスリハーサル。生徒たちは3曲（東京音頭、炭坑節、河内音頭）をまたたくまに覚えてしまった。瞬間記憶力は彼等へのプレゼントである。あらためて驚かされた。すぐに忘れるなよ～！！

I'm teaching  at 3 shools and university in this term. I decided to teach efficiently using  internet, making Japanese teaching material and test in internet resulted in getting harder and taking time more than usually. I realized to be behind in IT like a primitive L  It's far to the corner cutting...

今年の前半は３つの学校と大学で日本語のクラスを受け持つことになった。能率よくするためネットを使ってテストや宿題など作ることに決め手を準備をし始めたが、悪戦苦闘している。アナログ手法より時間がかかってしまっている。私のＩＴ能力は原始人並みである。あ～あ、手抜きの道は遠い。

First dream of the New Year ( はつゆめ Hatsu yume) means dream on January 2^nd. I believe that fear, hope and message from oneself product dream. The fear dream is past things or to guess ahead that never happen yet. The hope dream is one’s desire and message dream is advice from one’s potential. I always look forward dreaming and hope to remember what I dreamed especially today.

初夢は1月2日に見る夢だ。夢は恐怖、願望、自分からのメッセージから創りだされるんじゃないかと思っている。恐怖の夢は過去のものか、まだ起こらないことに対する恐怖であり、楽しい夢は潜在的に望んでいること、予知的な夢は自分の可能性なのかもしれない。私はいつも夢を見るのが楽しみである。特に今日はどんな夢を見たか覚えていたい。

My friend took me to country side of Jamaica. We were enjoying wonderful view. It's s cold but felt it's just new day!

I received Christmas messages with few Japanese words from many students who live in Japan after long time. I believe they fit into Japanese life day by day. That’s a relief! I feel happy.

しばらく音沙汰なかった日本に住んでいるたくさんの生徒達から、日本語がつきのメッセージをもらった。毎日日本の生活になじんできているんだろうと思えて安心した。ちょっと幸せな気分である。

When I was parking bike at post office’s parking lot today, bike cover was stolen. It’s better than to be stolen bike but ‘What for…? Strange!.　

郵便局の駐車場でこんどはバイクカバーを盗まれた。バイク盗まれるよりは遥かにましだが、むかつく。いったい何に使うんだろう。警備員は何を見ていたんだろう。ジャマイカは不思議なことが多すぎる。とりあえず絵だけ怒ってみた。

I wrote on FB last year that ‘Emperor’s birthday reception of every year makes me ‘This year is ending soon’ and this year is also finale right away again. Time fly indeed!!

去年の天皇誕生日に、このレセプションがあると今年もすぐに終わりだと感じるとフェイスブックに書いたものだが、あっという間に今年もこのイベント。今年も終焉間近。今年は明治大学に留学していたジャマイカのシンガーシェリーアンダーソンが国家を歌った。

I realize how Japanese language is difficult when I’m teaching and translating. If I would be not Japanese, definitely I will give up studying Japanese language. Respect students who have being studying Japanese. You show me teaching is challenge but supreme bliss!!

日本語は本当に難しい。教えている時、翻訳している時にあらためて気が付く。もし私が日本人ではなかったら、日本語学習は途中で諦めていただろう。日本語学習を続けている生徒達に本当に頭がさがる。彼らが難しさを改めて教えてくれたが至福の時もあたえてくれた。感謝！

It’s rainy today, after long time. Heat time in Japan is now short break.Trees, flowers, plants and my mother are enjoying this peaceful cool

rain. I’m happy everybody seems happy and not to ride bike in the rain!

久々の雨。酷暑はしばし休憩。木々や花達や母が涼しい雨を楽しんでいた。私もみんなのうれしそうな姿を見てハッピー、それになんていったって、この雨の中バイクで出かけなくてもっとハッピーである。

My father, passed away 8 years ago, liked to build plastic model. This is one of his work. 8 long years after he died his aret(?!) got old and damage. We decided pulling down and let him soul really to go to Heaven. Hope he will get it at another world.

８年前に亡くなった父の趣味の一つはプラモデルの制作であった。８年経ち、父の作品（…というほどでもないが）は傷みがはげしくなり、壊し、父の魂を改めて  送り出すことにした。あの世で、受け取ってくれているとうれしいのだが…。

‘ Obon Festival’ finished. The ancestors return to another world by send-off fire. It’s still heat in Japan but I feel autumn will soon be here.

お盆も終わり、ご先祖様たちは送り火に送られ、あの世に旅立っていった。日本はまだまだ酷暑が続いているが、秋はすぐそこに来ているようだ。

The final day of intensive Japanese course for JET .The next day of Jet Send-Off reception, but they are doing mock teaching without showing sign of tiredness. Now I believe they are really ready!

きのうは遅くまでJETの送別会があったが、今日の集中講義には一人も欠席せず疲れも見せずに見事な模擬授業をみせてくれた。ゲストで、画家のれいこさんやJICAの所長の奥様、JETAAのケイダンクリーも来てくれた。JETメンバー、準備万端！

Jet orientation 2013 was held at Embassy of Japan yesterday. 18 new JET members are ready to go to Japan now!

毎年恒例のJETオリエンテーションが開かれた。今年は選び抜かれた18人のメンバーが模擬授業にも挑戦。準備万端！

悲惨な誕生日になってしまった。バイクがないから、どこにも出かけられない！といって警察をあてにしても仕方ないので、Face bookの友だちに情報を提供してもらうことにした。これも人生の一つだから、受け止めないと仕方ない。あ～また金欠病に陥ってしまう～！

Hearing from friends and students after long interval is good part of birthday. Looking back memories and experience in past one year is also good parts too. Getting one more age is not welcomed. These 3 pieces seem to make a set! ‘Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. -Mahatma Gandhi-. That’s wise said. I can imagine neither dying tomorrow nor living forever though. Just live as I am as long as I live, ‘Que Sera Sera!!　

長いこと連絡していなかった友達から連絡がある…これは誕生日のいいところ、一年をふりかえること、これも誕生日のいいところ、また一つ年をとることは歓迎できないが、この３つはどうやらセットになっているようである。明日までしか生きられないと思って生きよ、一生、生きると思って学べ（マハトマ・ガンジー引用）けだし名言だが、私には明日死ぬことも、永久に生きることも想像できない。生きる限り私らしく生きる…ケセラセラである。とりあえず、今日の誕生日を迎えられて、感謝！

I got 3 day’s holiday. Washing clothes, cleaning room, watching TV, cooking Japanese food and drink Japanese tear. Nothing exciting things but relax and peaceful. Happy holiday!

サイバー攻撃に懲りて、複雑な１６ケタパスワードを作ったが、覚えられな～い！某ジャマイカ人の男性はガールフレンドの名前をパスワードに使っている。GFが４人もいるから、パスワードが２４ケタだそうな。解読不能だろうけど、別れたり、新しいGFができたら、どうするんだろう。老婆心！

All exams marking were done and sent result to students. When I heard from students that they are happy with good grade, I’m very happy. Few students thanked me even though they failed in this term. I feel guilty…. Hope I never make them to have unhappy Easter.

試験の採点も終わり最終成績が出たので、生徒に送った。生徒が良い結果を喜んでいることを知るときとても幸せを感じる。数人の生徒が試験に落ちたにもかかわらず、お礼のメールをくれた。なんだか罪の意識を感じてしまった。憂鬱な祭日にならなければいいのだが…。祭日の後でおくるべきだったかな～。なんだか気になる。

Aww… am I another year older.… again?! Time went by so fast, and getting faster year by year, but I know time is always moving with same speed except my action and brain movement that have been getting slower with increasing age! I was disappointed myself sometimes… but these days, I can see and be touched with plant, birds and flowers are brooming on the road side as my walking and thinking pace are getting slow. What a wonderful life is starting! I realize getting old is final gift from God and want to be enjoying as much as possible. Never try to remember how old am I now though!

 え～っ！また一つ歳を重ねてしまったのか？！時の経つのが年とともに加速されていると感じているが時のスピードは変わっているわけではなく、私の行動や脳の動きが減速しているに過ぎない。時々情けなくなってしまうことがあったが、動きが遅くなるにつれ、植木や鳥、道端に咲いている雑草まがいの花にも感動できるようになり、気が付くと心が和むようになった。なんと素敵な人生のスタートなんだろう。これは神様からの最後のご褒美だと思って、心から楽しみたい。極力自分の歳を思い出さないようには心がけるつもりではあるのだが…！

Since 2 weeks ago, reached Japan, no time to travel, no visiting friends and my students, only taking care of my mother, cooking, cleaning, washing and taking her hospital. She has been forgotten what she said just 5 minutes ago or what she did do but still remember how to cook and sewing clothe for me, this is happiest moment　more than anything. Thanks Mom for giving me chance to say in this year again ‘ おかあさん、ありがとう‘( Thanks mother). Mother’s day is only one day in a year, but I always want to say this simple but truly word. Be happy, health and to be my greatest mother as always.

帰国してから2週間、今回はどこにも旅せず、友達や生徒にあうこともなく、ひたすら母孝行。掃除洗濯、買い物、料理、母を病院に連れて行ったりして、あっというまんい時間はすぎる。５分前にはなしたことややった事は忘れてしまうことがあるが、昔かた得意だった料理や縫物を思い出したようにしてくれる。今母と一緒にいて何かできることがなにより幸せに感じる。今年も母に感謝の気持ちをつたえさせてくれるチャンスをもらって本当に嬉しい。少しでも長く幸せに、健康でいてください。そして今までのように私の素敵なお母さんでいてください。Happy Mother's Day!!

There was Japanese Language Evening at Japanese Ambassador’s residence today. Japanese Students from UWI, UTECH, LTC and TLC were presenting speech, introducing Japanese game, challenging various quizzes and enjoying ‘ Takoyaki’.  Thanks to your smile, my neck pain has gone while. Glad to have been teaching!

日本大使公邸にて第二回日本語の夕べが行われた。1月末から頸椎症にかかり、一時はあきらめかけたこのイベントだが、なんとか参加できた。UWI, UTECH, LTC, 私のプライベートクラスから生徒が訳３０名ほど参加し、スピーチやミニプレゼン、クイズに挑戦、たこ焼きを楽しんだ。震えやしびれはひどいままだが、彼らの笑顔にしばし痛みが消えた！教えていてよかった！！

旧年中はお世話になりました。今年も宜しくお願いします。

My mother is getting old, forget what she said just while ago, where she did do or who she met yesterday. But she still remember I’m her daughter and day I was born. 2日前IPP バザーがあった。手作りうちわを販売。裏には買ってくれた人の名前を習字で書いて渡した。なかなか好評だった。久々のブログ、さぼりまくっている！

One of Japanese class had small peer observation at Language Cradle on Feb 28,. Students were enjoying conversation with ‘ Ayumi san’ who visited from Okinawa in Japan.

日本語クラスの一つに、沖縄からのお客様が来てくれた。私以外の日本人と話す機会ができて生徒たちは大喜び。がんばって日本語で質問していました。ありがとう、あゆみさん！

All Japanese class will start from tomorrow at Language Training Centre,Language Cradle and UTECH(Already have been started since last week) Hope they never be rusty... I'm rusty !! Long winter holiday is done but still I'm in holiday mode!

明日からすべての日本語クラスが、ＬＴＣ、ＴＬＣで始まる。（すでに大学のクラスは始まっている）。みんな日本語が錆びついていなければ

いいのだが…という私もまだ休みモードからぬけられなくて、

しっかり錆びつき状態である。

It’s been long time to link up my friend and up-date to my page. Busy life in 4 month stayed away from Japanese society while. Now I got a winter holiday. Banzai!!

久々に友達とリンク、アップデートもめちゃくちゃ久しぶり。忙しい４か月間、日本人社会から遠ざかっていたが、やっと冬休みに突入。ばんざ～い！！天皇誕生日＠大使公邸イン・ジャマイカ

There were joint brasband event at Ranny Willams Centre on July 22, by Japanese Navy Band of Japan Maritime Self- Defense Force and Jamaica Military Band from JDF. Performance includeding Taiko= Japanese drum and Japanese martial arts were more than wonderful, great and right for 50th anniversary of deplomatic relation Japan and Jamaica.

7月22日ラニーウィリアムスセンターにて、日本海上自衛隊のブラスバンドとジャマイカ国防軍のブラスバンドとのジョイントコンサートが行われた。海自による日本武道や和太鼓演奏もあり、日本とジャマイカ国交5５０周年記念にふさわしい素晴らしいイベントであった。海自のブラスバンドはただものじゃない～。全身鳥肌ものだった。ほかの連隊も礼儀正しく、清い若者！ついミーハーして、はしゃいでしまった。

Final day of JET intensive course was for mock teaching. Only few students attended final day but it was great. One of JET AA, Gregory showed them sample teaching and useful tip. I believe his wonderful advises will improve their life in Japan.

JET 集中講義の最終日。前日の壮行会で飲みすぎてつかれたのか、サッカーブラジル戦を見ているのか、この日はわずかな生徒しか集まらなかったが、みな素晴らしい模擬授業を見せてくれた。ＪＥＴＡＡの多才なグレゴリー先輩が最高の模範授業を見せてくれ、日本での生活へのチップをNew JETへプレゼント。このアドバイスはきっと彼等の生活に多いに役に立つことだろう。

25 chosen JET new members are ready for new journey to Japan! They made speech in Japanese dignifiedly. Hope their life in Japan will be special as they are. God-speed!

選び抜かれた２５人のＪＥＴが日本に旅発つ。彼らは堂々と日本語でスピーチをした。彼らの日本での新しい生活が特別なものになりるよう願ってやまない。成功を祈る。この写真は出発前の集中講義に参加した１２名のメンバー。輝いているね！

25 new JET members are going to Japan in this year. I believe they will take active part as bridge between Jamaica and Japan. Number of new Jet is biggest this year, suitable for 50 the Anniversary of Jamaica -Japan diplomatic relatiosip. Keep it up!

今年度の新JETのオリエンテーションが行われた。日本との国交５０周年にふさわしく今までの最高２５名が旅立つ。両国の橋として活躍することを信じている。がんばれ～！

Thanks all my friends, students and family for warm birthday message. You made my day! I was stolen my bike year ago today, I wish I was stolen my age this year today!!!

友だちや生徒や家族からたくさんの温かい誕生メッセージをもらった。日本に行っている生徒からは日本語のメッセージもたくさん届いた。日本語がうまくなったねと褒めたら、変な日本語で返事が来た。直していいものか…う～ん、先生迷ってしまう。１年前の今日、バイクを盗まれて最悪の誕生日になってしまった。今年は年が盗まれるといいな～。

金があるときは時間がない、暇なときには金がない、両方ある時にはそれを使う気力がない、もし全部そろった時はいったい何を探し求めているやら…？！

When I have money no time to use money, when I have time  no money , when I have both no strength to use for it. Wondering if I would have all, what I’m looking for next.

To give flower and card to mother for mother’s day is my best wish more than anything Hope this day will be coming again and again.

母の日に花と手作りアニメカードをプレゼントするのが、今のわたしにとってなによりの望みである。来年も、再来年も、ずっとこの日が来ますように。

I tried to draw cat my mother liked for mother’s day. It’s not so easy… gave up and slept last night. Then many kitties and poppies swarmed in my dream. Curious dream made me warm and comfortable. My mother has been taking care of many cats and dogs since long time ago. They seem to appreciate what she had done for them and ask me to tell her ‘ ありがとう‘

母の日に母のお気に入りだった猫を登場させようといろいろ試行錯誤したが、今一つイメージがわかず寝てしまった。すると夢の中に子猫や子犬がうじゃうじゃ現れた。不思議な夢だったが、ほんわかしてしまった。母は昔から捨て犬や捨て猫の世話をみていた。きっと私に母へ’ありがとう’を伝えてもらいたかったのだろう。

I was so busy for event' Nihon Matsuri', test for 3 schools and chores in this few weeks. One of class gave me wonderful present. I don't know how thanks but want to say ' ありがとう’ This cute gift recovered my tiredness.

日本祭り、３校のテスト、雑用の山で忙しい数週間であった。あるクラスの生徒が素敵なプレゼントをくれた。忙しさにかまけて、手抜き授業した私は罪の意識を感じてしまったが、このあたたかいプレゼントは疲れをとってくれた。なんといってお礼を言っていいかわからないが、’ありがとう’心からそう言いたい。

3月8日に行う日本祭りのイベントの一つ浴衣ファッションショーにゲストとしてマーシャグリフィスが浴衣で登場する。今日は彼女の衣装合わせ。いくつになってもゴージャスな女性である。彼女のパフォーマンスが楽しみである。乞うご期待！

Practicing Japanese dance for Nihon Matsuri to be held on March 8, at Ranny Williams Centre. They memorized 3 dances instantly. I believe this is gift for them. They surprised me over again. Hope them not to surprise me as forget soon.

3月8日にラニーウィリアムスで行われる日本祭りのダンスリハーサル。生徒たちは3曲（東京音頭、炭坑節、河内音頭）をまたたくまに覚えてしまった。瞬間記憶力は彼等へのプレゼントである。あらためて驚かされた。すぐに忘れるなよ～！！

I'm teaching  at 3 shools and university in this term. I decided to teach efficiently using  internet, making Japanese teaching material and test in internet resulted in getting harder and taking time more than usually. I realized to be behind in IT like a primitive L  It's far to the corner cutting...

今年の前半は３つの学校と大学で日本語のクラスを受け持つことになった。能率よくするためネットを使ってテストや宿題など作ることに決め手を準備をし始めたが、悪戦苦闘している。アナログ手法より時間がかかってしまっている。私のＩＴ能力は原始人並みである。あ～あ、手抜きの道は遠い。

First dream of the New Year ( はつゆめ Hatsu yume) means dream on January 2^nd. I believe that fear, hope and message from oneself product dream. The fear dream is past things or to guess ahead that never happen yet. The hope dream is one’s desire and message dream is advice from one’s potential. I always look forward dreaming and hope to remember what I dreamed especially today.

初夢は1月2日に見る夢だ。夢は恐怖、願望、自分からのメッセージから創りだされるんじゃないかと思っている。恐怖の夢は過去のものか、まだ起こらないことに対する恐怖であり、楽しい夢は潜在的に望んでいること、予知的な夢は自分の可能性なのかもしれない。私はいつも夢を見るのが楽しみである。特に今日はどんな夢を見たか覚えていたい。

My friend took me to country side of Jamaica. We were enjoying wonderful view. It's s cold but felt it's just new day!

I received Christmas messages with few Japanese words from many students who live in Japan after long time. I believe they fit into Japanese life day by day. That’s a relief! I feel happy.

しばらく音沙汰なかった日本に住んでいるたくさんの生徒達から、日本語がつきのメッセージをもらった。毎日日本の生活になじんできているんだろうと思えて安心した。ちょっと幸せな気分である。

When I was parking bike at post office’s parking lot today, bike cover was stolen. It’s better than to be stolen bike but ‘What for…? Strange!.　

郵便局の駐車場でこんどはバイクカバーを盗まれた。バイク盗まれるよりは遥かにましだが、むかつく。いったい何に使うんだろう。警備員は何を見ていたんだろう。ジャマイカは不思議なことが多すぎる。とりあえず絵だけ怒ってみた。

I wrote on FB last year that ‘Emperor’s birthday reception of every year makes me ‘This year is ending soon’ and this year is also finale right away again. Time fly indeed!!

去年の天皇誕生日に、このレセプションがあると今年もすぐに終わりだと感じるとフェイスブックに書いたものだが、あっという間に今年もこのイベント。今年も終焉間近。今年は明治大学に留学していたジャマイカのシンガーシェリーアンダーソンが国家を歌った。

I realize how Japanese language is difficult when I’m teaching and translating. If I would be not Japanese, definitely I will give up studying Japanese language. Respect students who have being studying Japanese. You show me teaching is challenge but supreme bliss!!

日本語は本当に難しい。教えている時、翻訳している時にあらためて気が付く。もし私が日本人ではなかったら、日本語学習は途中で諦めていただろう。日本語学習を続けている生徒達に本当に頭がさがる。彼らが難しさを改めて教えてくれたが至福の時もあたえてくれた。感謝！

It’s rainy today, after long time. Heat time in Japan is now short break.Trees, flowers, plants and my mother are enjoying this peaceful cool

rain. I’m happy everybody seems happy and not to ride bike in the rain!

久々の雨。酷暑はしばし休憩。木々や花達や母が涼しい雨を楽しんでいた。私もみんなのうれしそうな姿を見てハッピー、それになんていったって、この雨の中バイクで出かけなくてもっとハッピーである。

My father, passed away 8 years ago, liked to build plastic model. This is one of his work. 8 long years after he died his aret(?!) got old and damage. We decided pulling down and let him soul really to go to Heaven. Hope he will get it at another world.

８年前に亡くなった父の趣味の一つはプラモデルの制作であった。８年経ち、父の作品（…というほどでもないが）は傷みがはげしくなり、壊し、父の魂を改めて  送り出すことにした。あの世で、受け取ってくれているとうれしいのだが…。

‘ Obon Festival’ finished. The ancestors return to another world by send-off fire. It’s still heat in Japan but I feel autumn will soon be here.

お盆も終わり、ご先祖様たちは送り火に送られ、あの世に旅立っていった。日本はまだまだ酷暑が続いているが、秋はすぐそこに来ているようだ。

新ジェットメンバーがいよいよ明日日本へ旅立つ。安全な旅、そして日本を楽しんでほしい。なんだか、娘が遠い国に嫁ぐような心境で、さびしいような嬉しいような…。

The final day of intensive Japanese course for JET .The next day of Jet Send-Off reception, but they are doing mock teaching without showing sign of tiredness. Now I believe they are really ready!

きのうは遅くまでJETの送別会があったが、今日の集中講義には一人も欠席せず疲れも見せずに見事な模擬授業をみせてくれた。ゲストで、画家のれいこさんやJICAの所長の奥様、JETAAのケイダンクリーも来てくれた。JETメンバー、準備万端！

Jet orientation 2013 was held at Embassy of Japan yesterday. 18 new JET members are ready to go to Japan now!

毎年恒例のJETオリエンテーションが開かれた。今年は選び抜かれた18人のメンバーが模擬授業にも挑戦。準備万端！

悲惨な誕生日になってしまった。バイクがないから、どこにも出かけられない！といって警察をあてにしても仕方ないので、Face bookの友だちに情報を提供してもらうことにした。これも人生の一つだから、受け止めないと仕方ない。あ～また金欠病に陥ってしまう～！

Hearing from friends and students after long interval is good part of birthday. Looking back memories and experience in past one year is also good parts too. Getting one more age is not welcomed. These 3 pieces seem to make a set! ‘Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. -Mahatma Gandhi-. That’s wise said. I can imagine neither dying tomorrow nor living forever though. Just live as I am as long as I live, ‘Que Sera Sera!!　

長いこと連絡していなかった友達から連絡がある…これは誕生日のいいところ、一年をふりかえること、これも誕生日のいいところ、また一つ年をとることは歓迎できないが、この３つはどうやらセットになっているようである。明日までしか生きられないと思って生きよ、一生、生きると思って学べ（マハトマ・ガンジー引用）けだし名言だが、私には明日死ぬことも、永久に生きることも想像できない。生きる限り私らしく生きる…ケセラセラである。とりあえず、今日の誕生日を迎えられて、感謝！

I got 3 day’s holiday. Washing clothes, cleaning room, watching TV, cooking Japanese food and drink Japanese tear. Nothing exciting things but relax and peaceful. Happy holiday!

３日間の休みができた。洗濯、掃除をして、テレビをみながら日本食作って、のんびりお茶を飲んでいる。なにもかわったことはなく平凡な一日だったが、リラックスできて平和そのものである。休日に感謝！

サイバー攻撃に懲りて、複雑な１６ケタパスワードを作ったが、覚えられな～い！某ジャマイカ人の男性はガールフレンドの名前をパスワードに使っている。GFが４人もいるから、パスワードが２４ケタだそうな。解読不能だろうけど、別れたり、新しいGFができたら、どうするんだろう。老婆心！

All exams marking were done and sent result to students. When I heard from students that they are happy with good grade, I’m very happy. Few students thanked me even though they failed in this term. I feel guilty…. Hope I never make them to have unhappy Easter.

試験の採点も終わり最終成績が出たので、生徒に送った。生徒が良い結果を喜んでいることを知るときとても幸せを感じる。数人の生徒が試験に落ちたにもかかわらず、お礼のメールをくれた。なんだか罪の意識を感じてしまった。憂鬱な祭日にならなければいいのだが…。祭日の後でおくるべきだったかな～。なんだか気になる。

Twin’s Jamaican apples that friend gave me remained me students who was unhappy with bad grades on the test. I can’t eat… too cute.

双子、それとも親子？、二つがくっつきあっているジャマイカのリンゴを友達にもらった。このポーズ、試験の出来が悪くてがっくりきている生徒を思い出させた。なんとなくかわいくて、食べられない。

Aww… am I another year older.… again?! Time went by so fast, and getting faster year by year, but I know time is always moving with same speed except my action and brain movement that have been getting slower with increasing age! I was disappointed myself sometimes… but these days, I can see and be touched with plant, birds and flowers are brooming on the road side as my walking and thinking pace are getting slow. What a wonderful life is starting! I realize getting old is final gift from God and want to be enjoying as much as possible. Never try to remember how old am I now though!

 え～っ！また一つ歳を重ねてしまったのか？！時の経つのが年とともに加速されていると感じているが時のスピードは変わっているわけではなく、私の行動や脳の動きが減速しているに過ぎない。時々情けなくなってしまうことがあったが、動きが遅くなるにつれ、植木や鳥、道端に咲いている雑草まがいの花にも感動できるようになり、気が付くと心が和むようになった。なんと素敵な人生のスタートなんだろう。これは神様からの最後のご褒美だと思って、心から楽しみたい。極力自分の歳を思い出さないようには心がけるつもりではあるのだが…！
